Competencies:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in critical care and 3 years in a leadership role.
Certification:
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross with 3 months of hire date; if permitted through licensed scope of practice.
- Basic EKG competency within 3 months of hire date; if licensed clinician
License: Current and valid Arizona RN license; if RN
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Understands clinical practice, healthcare delivery systems, and regulatory requirements to guide department operations.

- PALS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 3 months of hire date
- PALS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 3 months of hire date; if permitted through licensed scope of practice
- TNCC within 1 year of hire date; if RN
- Emergency Severity Index training required within 6 months of training; if RN
- PALS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire date
- NRP certification required within 6 months of hire date

Work Requirements- Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills
- Able to manage technical business equipment i.e., phone, fax, computer etc.
- Able to assist with the movement of an adult patient weighing up to 300 lbs.
- Able to care for patients with infectious diseases
- Able to sit for 3-5 hours per day;
Able to stand for 3-5 hours per day;
Able to walk for 3-5 hours day - Incumbent must be able to: distinguish appropriate colors
