Position Purpose

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) assist in providing excellent patient care by assisting physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office settings. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by the physician.

Hours/Shift

Full Time/Days - 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate surgical procedures,includingsurgeonandsurgicalassistantscheduling,patient scheduling, pre-operative preparation, and post-operative follow up appointments.
  • Coordinatewithother healthcareprovidersforpatientreferralsandmanagepatient billingandinsurance matters related to surgery.
  • Informpatientsabout thedetailsoftheirsurgery,including risks,benefits,and recovery time.
  • Ensureallnecessarydocumentationandpatientrecordsareinorder,includingverificationofadvanced directive status, informed consent and sterilization consent forms when appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of department and organization.
Qualifications Education

High School graduateor equivalent.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years clinical experience working in a healthcare office setting, scheduling, and/or authorizations.

Abasicunderstandingofmedicalterminologyandsurgicalprocedures.
