American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 1 year of recent Med Surg experience with telemetry skills and an AZ or compact RN license.

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 Hours, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Uses Meditech charting system, experience preferred but not required
• Floating required to other MS units, with potential to float to PCU if skills align
• Potential for remote telemetry monitoring responsibilities
• Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) required;
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required if skillset allows for float to PCU
• 1 year of recent Med Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required due to potential for remote telemetry monitoring
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Respiratory care skills including nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management skills
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Provide Med/Surg Tele nursing care with a focus on cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Orientation held every Monday
• Holiday coverage required
• RTO should be kept as minimal as possible
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
• Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
• Travel pairs are accepted
