American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active AZ or Compact license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience with telemetry skills.

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Potential for remote telemetry monitoring in addition to on-unit monitoring
• Floating to other Med/Surg units required as needed
• Uses Meditech charting system; prior experience preferred but not required
• Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE use
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Holiday coverage required during the assignment
• Requested time off (RTO) should be kept to a minimum and submitted upfront
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Deliver direct patient care in a Med/Surg Tele environment with emphasis on cardiac monitoring and telemetry management
