American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and multiple critical care certifications.

• Float between the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit (Observation Unit)
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (12:00 PM - 12:30 AM)
• Meditech charting system experience preferred but not required
• Orientation held every Monday
• Holiday coverage required with every other weekend rotation
• Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC (ESI preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in pediatric and adult emergency care including trauma, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric conditions
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring/dysrhythmia management
• Ability to triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions, including trauma, respiratory distress, neurological emergencies, and psychiatric crises
• Perform skills such as EKG interpretation, splinting, IV/central line management, and procedural sedation monitoring as needed
• First-time travelers accepted if they have more than 2 years of ED experience
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
• RTO should be kept minimal and included at time of consideration
