American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and float coverage to the Observation Unit.

• Emergency Department setting with floating between ED and CDU (Observation Unit)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Evening shift schedule (3x12 hours, 14:00-02:30)
• Meditech charting system preferred but not required
• Orientation held every Monday
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Travel pairs accepted

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC required; ESI preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Experience with general adult/pediatric ED, trauma, stroke, and STEMI care preferred
• Skills in triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation preferred
• Experience managing psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma patient populations preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• Perform triage, IV therapy, and emergency medication administration as needed
• Support isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• First-time travelers accepted if they have more than 2 years of ED experience
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
• Minimal RTO requested at time of consideration
