Overview
HVAC Technician (Full Time) at SSC Services For Education.
Location:
Kingman, AZ. Openings at other locations within the school district available. Online applications accepted only.
- Perform a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to facilities engineering and maintenance; work with a Supervisor, Foreman, and/or Master Mechanic on a regular basis.
- Update work statuses in the CMMS and document tasks completed; determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs and projects.
- Clean, lubricate, service, repair, and diagnose malfunctions of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
- Assist in making decisions on repairs and report major problems to the Maintenance Supervisor, Foreman, and/or Manager as appropriate.
- Construct, install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems or related facilities using power and hand tools.
- Review outside vendor projects and prepare punch lists; support project management activities as needed.
- Respond to emergency problems in the facility and perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete preventive maintenance work orders, tests, and inspections; propose improvements to maintenance systems.
- Keep shops and mechanical areas clean and safe; perform other duties as assigned.
- 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
- One of the following:
Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or Journeyman Plumber License. - Experience working with blueprints and schematics; valid driver’s license; general understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Rudimentary ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor for extended periods.
Some exposure to high heat, noise, dust, dirt, and areas requiring infection control. Must be able to meet deadlines; may require working all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary to maintain facility at a safe level.
