The TUI Cruises GmbH is looking for a Staff Captain for the Mein Schiff fleet as well as the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises fleet. The position involves being the deputy captain and taking responsible leadership in the nautical area. The role includes department management for deck, bridge, security, safety, and hospital, ensuring smooth ship operations in safety, emergency organization, stability, threat prevention, and deck operations including planning and conducting maintenance work.

The candidate will also lead tender operations and, on selected ships, zodiac operations. The role requires active promotion of a professional bridge resource management culture, conducting disciplinary discussions in collaboration with the HR manager on board, and ensuring ship operations in line with international and national regulations and laws. On selected ships (Hapag-Lloyd Cruises), the candidate will take over half of the bridge watch (4 hours).

The ideal candidate has professional experience as a Staff Captain on a cruise ship, preferably in the expedition segment. They should have a valid captain's license and current STCW certificates, in-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, conventions, and environmental regulations, and be an open, communicative, and confident personality with a strong service orientation. They should also have a high level of problem-solving skills, initiative, implementation strength, and stress resistance in unexpected situations.

Fluent German and very good English skills in writing and speaking are required.
