Children's Pastor

Job Overview

First Baptist Church of Kings Mountain is a vibrant, conservative SBC church with a growing ministry to children and families. We are seeking a man called by God to pastor our children and their families, providing spiritual and physical care. The pastor will work collaboratively with his wife and the church community.

The Children’s Pastor will lead families and discipleship at the family level, foster an inclusive ministry that supports children with special needs, and demonstrate understanding of child safety standards and best practices. This includes volunteer screening, emergency procedures, and check‑in/check‑out systems. He will recruit, train and lead volunteers and ministry teams, encourage parents, and strengthen families in faith.

• Minimum three years of experience serving on a church staff in children’s or family ministry, with leading families, discipleship, administration, evangelism, teaching, leadership, or pastoral care.
• Master’s degree in ministry or nearing completion.
• Ordination or seeking ordination.

He must demonstrate a consistent lifestyle that models Christian integrity, humility, and servant leadership. All candidates will be subject to criminal, financial, and sexual misconduct background checks.

Pay range commensurate with education and experience. Total compensation includes salary, anniversary and Christmas bonuses, housing allowance, employer‑paid health insurance, employer‑paid disability and life insurance, retirement plan matching contributions, vacation, and funding for professional conferences or education.
