Operations Manager

Overview

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is seeking an Operations Manager. This is a full-time on-site position at our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility. Relocation support is available to those within the US/PR. The expected annual salary range is $130000 - $190000 per year and the position is eligible for a variable incentive program.

• Manages and directs all manufacturing and clutch activities to ensure completion of customer requirements.
• Assesses performance indicators and takes actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met.
• Ensures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured products.
• Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuous improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance through the deployment of a continuous improvement framework.
• Ensures Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed in alignment with local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
• Evaluates operational performance of the group to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, etc.
• Develops budgets and resource plans, and monitors performance to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
• Coordinates and assists with plant initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across the enterprise.
• Achieves labor productivity improvements, reduction of overtime, and leads cost reduction efforts to drive factory cost reductions.

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing operations.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience managing production, continuous improvement, and/or supply chain management projects.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience with continuous improvement/lean methodologies.

• Three (3) years or more of prior management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership, coaching, and influence management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management concepts (production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, and receiving/shipping).

• Ability to identify linkages between functions and understand how actions affect downstream decisions within a value stream.
• Strong interpersonal and planning skills with the ability to lead change through both direct and indirect influence.
• Effective communication across different levels of the organization.
• Analytical skills and proficiency with problem-solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.), goal setting, and performance tracking.
• Experience in process development, implementation, and sustainability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
