Starting at $20.00 per hour (DOE) + $1.60 Shift Differential
Schedule:
Mon – Thursday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Overtime:
Fridays and Saturdays as production needs dictate
We are seeking experienced Metal Finishers to join our manufacturing team in Kings Mountain, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, grinding, sanding, and finishing metal components to ensure they meet quality specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with metal finishing processes, takes pride in producing quality work, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Grind, sand, smooth, and finish metal surfaces to meet production and quality standards
- Operate DA (Dual Action) grinders/sanders, dent pullers, dollies, grinders, and other metal finishing equipment
- Inspect parts for defects and verify proper surface preparation before the next stage of production
- Read and follow work instructions and quality specifications
- Maintain consistent quality while meeting daily production goals
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures
- Assist with additional production duties as assigned
- Previous experience with grinding, sanding, or metal finishing
- Must have experience using a DA (Dual Action) grinder/sander, dent puller, and dolly
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools used in metal finishing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
- Ability to work required overtime as production demands
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive collision repair, fabrication, or body repair
- Experience using measuring tools and performing quality inspections
- Experience reading work instructions or blueprints
- Previous production or industrial manufacturing experience
