Approved Electrician – Plymouth, Exeter or Taunton to cover Devon area

£27 p/h (Via Agency)
Van, fuel card, PPE & test equipment provided
3‑month contract with potential to extend | 37 hours/week | Immediate Start – before 8th Feb

Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime depending on workload and weekend requirements.

We’re urgently seeking an Approved Electrician to support compliance works across various industrial and commercial sites including quarries, breweries and NHS properties. Based from Exeter, this role involves travelling to field locations across Devon and South West England, carrying out inspection, testing and remedial works to help us meet demand.

• Electrical inspection and testing to BS7671 standards
• Emergency lighting and equipment testing
• Remedial works based on inspection findings
• Working to client scopes and safety procedures
• Daily van‑based travel directly to client sites

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation 18th Edition (BS7671)
• AM2 (or equivalent full apprenticeship route)
• ECS Card
• Strong experience with commercial/industrial environments
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently

• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
• First Aid qualification
• Asbestos Awareness certificate
• A clear Basic DBS check within the last 3 Months

• £27/hour via agency (CIS or PAYE only)
• Van, fuel card, PPE & test equipment provided
• Immediate start with a well‑established client base
• Key support role to meet essential compliance deadlines

• Hotels booked if staying away, with breakfast and £25 evening meal allowance (very rare)
• Van and fuel card provided
• All PPE and specialist tools supplied
• Direct‑to‑site roles
• Pay: 37 hours standard, then 1.5x overtime;
  Saturday 7.5 hours at 1.5x then 2x;
  Sunday 2x.
• Daily van‑based travel across South West England

Travel across South West England – primarily site‑based, Monday‑Friday, with occasional weekend work during shutdown periods as overtime.
