Production Technician

Soldier Fly Technologies, a joint venture startup majority-owned by Fluker Farms (Port Allen, LA), is a biotech company offering sustainable solutions to help protect the planet and feed the future. Our mission is to contribute to a more circular food system by producing sustainable insect ingredients for animal feed, pet nutrition, and agriculture. As SFT enters an exciting new stage of growth and expansion in several states, we are looking for a Production Technician for our Kingsburg, CA facility.

• Full-time preferred, will consider qualified part-time candidates
• Pay:
  From $17.50 per hour
• US Work Authorization (required)
• Must be able to work with insects (black soldier flies, non-pest) at all life stages
• Must possess strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Able to correctly input lab data in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
• Able to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Able to pay close attention to detail and make precise measurements
• Ensures all personal safety equipment is in good condition and maintains proper usage
• Observes and adheres to all safety and security procedures
• Maintains both clean and safe work environments, and ensures all work areas are clean each day
• Able to responsibly mix chemicals for sanitation with the appropriate ratios
• Must be self‑motivated, flexible, and have a positive attitude
• Able to work well in both a team‑based environment as well as with limited supervision
• Able to read and write English, with excellent communication (oral and written) skills
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Be able to work well under pressure and with time constraints
• Able to lift 35 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Possesses strong multitasking and decision‑making skills
• Must possess reliable transportation
• Must arrive on time and prepared for daily job tasks
• Must be able to perform other duties as assigned
• Flexible schedule: 4 hour shift/8 hour shift/day shift/Monday to Friday
