The City of Kingsland is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Department!
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Manage and analyze complex financial transactions
- Assist with the City’s annual budget and revenue forecasting
- Prepare financial reports, journal entries, spreadsheets, and financial analyses
- Reconcile and audit financial records
- Support property tax and fiscal operations
- Review internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance
- Serve as a lead worker by training and assisting team members
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- 3–4 years of progressively responsible accounting or financial management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of governmental or municipal accounting is highly valued
- City contributes at least 50% toward employee health insurance premiums
