Contract Lumber seeks a dedicated Load Builder to join our dynamic team in Georgia, ensuring precise and timely assembly of building material loads for distribution. This role requires a hands-on professional who understands the complexities of load integrity and safety regulations associated with material handling. With our strategic presence in the Midwest and southern USA, you will play a critical part in maintaining our reputation for efficient supply and meticulous cost control, meeting the needs of professional builders and contractors across the region.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently build loads for shipment based on delivery schedules.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and organize materials in a safe manner.
- Inspect outgoing loads for compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to optimize loading processes.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for inventory control.
- Ensure working area is clean and safe at all times.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to physically handle heavy materials
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Basic math and reading skills for following complex instructions
