Job Summary

The RCAM Carpentry Lab Instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering standardized lab content to support industrial training programs in a hands-on lab environment.

Job Duties

* Deliver carpentry lab training content

* Serve as Subject Matter Expert for advanced development work of industrial programs

* Drive improvement in process effectiveness and efficiency

* Promote the carpentry program to recruit apprentices/students from area businesses and high schools

* Adhere to RCAM schedule and inclement weather policies, which may differ from other NESCC schedules and/or closures.

* Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

* Must be craft qualified at the journeyman level in Carpentry.

* Experience working in a construction setting.

Preferred Qualifications

* AS Degree in a related field.

* Experience teaching Carpentry.

* NCCER Certified Instructor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Technology

Skills:

MS Office skills, Word, Excel, Access; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems.

* Must be capable of learning new technology and apply the new technology in the lab environment .
