Location: Johnson City, TN, USA – On‑site position
Position: Supplier Quality Engineer
The Supplier Quality Engineer will support our Operations site in Johnson City, TN, ensuring that supplier raw materials, finished goods, and outsourced processes comply with engineering and product specifications as well as quality/regulatory requirements. The role involves designing and implementing policies for testing and evaluating product precision and accuracy, supporting purchasing, product development, and site operations, and monitoring supplier performance metrics to address non‑conformances and SCARs.
Responsibilities- Provide quality engineering support to the purchasing team.
- Work closely with Purchasing, R&D and Operations and engineering teams (ME/QE) to develop and implement risk‑management, qualification, verification, and validation plans for supplier‑related materials.
- Manage supplier development and approval, maintaining the assessment system.
- Support company goals and objectives in compliance with quality systems, FDA regulations, and MDD/MDR requirements.
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with supplier approval and monitoring procedures and work instructions.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years relevant industry experience in a supplier quality capacity.
- Experience working across multiple business units, preferably at a global scale.
- Good communication skills.
- Project management – ability to multiplex global projects.
- Change management – leading changes locally and across the Consumables Group.
- Strong business partnering skills and business acumen.
- Proven track record of successful strategic cost‑saving implementations.
- Analytical, business finance capability.
- Articulate and promote Dentsply Sirona’s vision, mission and values.

- Consistently meet company standards, ethics and compliance requirements.
- Clear, effective communication with stakeholders across multiple levels and functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, speak, use hands, reach with hands and arms, see, listen and type. May need to lift up to 20 pounds. Work is primarily performed in an office environment with a quiet, temperature-controlled setting. Travel may be required.
