Electrical Designer

Job Title

Responsible for creating detailed electrical and equipment layout drawings that support the design and manufacturing of utility and industrial products. This role interprets customer specifications, develops design documentation, prepares bills of materials, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Develop accurate electrical design drawings and related documentation.
• Interpret customer specifications, bid requirements, and design criteria to create project drawings.
• Perform calculations and design-related checks using established engineering practices.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and work orders to support production.
• Manage complex design assignments with minimal supervision.
• Review and mark up drawings to ensure quality and consistency.
• Assist team members with technical guidance and project support.
• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing, sales, and customers as needed.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.

Electrical, AutoCAD, Electrical Engineering

Strong technical aptitude in Mechanical, and Electrical design disciplines.

Proficiency with industry-standard software, including:

Microsoft Word and Excel

AutoCAD and/or Revit

Solid understanding of algebra, geometry, and engineering-related mathematical formulas.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

This is a Permanent position based out of Kingsport, TN.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in Kingsport, TN.
