Are you interested in helping shape the future of Amazon's complex Operations network? Do you want to evaluate emerging technologies and building designs? Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to join the Worldwide Design Engineering (WWDE) Finance team within Operations Finance.

In this role, you will be part of a highly visible team with significant impact on essential, strategic decisions that ensure Amazon’s Operations network is built to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. You will have the opportunity to leverage your experience to lead financial modeling for next generation buildings designs. You will interact with Directors and VP's across numerous business and Finance teams.

Key stakeholders include Worldwide Design Engineering, Advanced Technologies, Robotics, Supply Chain Execution, and Capital Planning.

Key job responsibilities

• Own & develop financial analysis ROI and NPV models driving design decisions across the WW Operations Fulfillment network.
• Collaborate with teams across Operations in evaluating key inputs that support the benefits of proposed building design modification.
• Identify and drive process enhancements to financial models and lead efforts to model new building types as they arise.
• Partner to evaluate network impacts of design decisions and think critically about the future of Amazon’s infrastructure.
• Facilitate and lead financial review meetings with key partner business partners across Operations.
• Have backbone, disagree and commit to effectively lean in, foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, and lead the resolution of issues and/or decisions.
• Exhibiting social responsibility, activity recruit bar raising talent and continuously develop your team while becoming a supportive mentor of the Finance community.
• Plan for the future by identifying and sponsoring Finance-wide professional development and engagement initiatives that strengthen the global Finance community such as diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• By becoming an expert in your lane, you will contribute to work life harmony as a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence and efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
