Position: FT Certified Surgical Tech

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

We are hiring a Full‑Time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) who will split time between Mountain Empire Surgery Center in Johnson City, TN, and Holston Valley ASC in Kingsport, TN—providing the benefit of diverse surgical experience and the chance to work with two highly skilled teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up the operating room, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready for surgical procedures.
  • Assist the surgical team with creating and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Hand necessary instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
  • Help with patient positioning and draping in a sterile manner.
  • Maintain instrument counts and uphold aseptic techniques.
  • Contribute to patient safety and compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
Qualifications Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • Current BLS certification
Required Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Certified Scrub Technician in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
  • Dedication to upholding the highest standards of patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
