Millwright - Kingsport, TN

Overview

Turner Industries Group is seeking an experienced Millwright for a position in Kingsport, TN.

The Millwright position installs and/or maintains machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings and written instructions in industrial establishments. Non-exempt role; reports to the Foreman; assigned duties according to specific procedures.

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantle machines; move machinery and equipment; assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers.
• Align machines and equipment using reverse alignment methods; assemble machines and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundations or other structures.
• Operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications; repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Participate in grouting activities for equipment base plates; remove plant equipment, disassemble, repair and reinstall as directed by supervision.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

• High school or equivalent
• One (1) to four (4) years of experience in the specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Some job sites may require NCCER certification
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
