Mechanical Express Specialist

• Repair U-Haul equipment using appropriate tools and company standards
• Follow work-order directions effectively
• Complete work in a timely manner
• Determine causes of operating errors and decide appropriate corrective actions
• Use proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles
• Clearly identify and professionally communicate issues in positive or negative situations
• Complete continued U-Haul equipment education
• Lend assistance in additional areas as directed by the supervisor

• Familiarity with diagnostic tools
• Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
• Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals
• Ability to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields when required
• Ability to remain stationary, traverse spaces, reposition to reach and use tools, and move a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted
• Continued U-Haul equipment education is required
• U-Haul will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products in Tennessee
