What you will do:Reporting to the Administrative Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to enhance the well-being of the individuals and communities we serve. As the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and residents, you will provide clerical and administrative support, assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, and student placements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Greet and direct visitors, staff, and residents; answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries; manage visitor sign‑ins; and maintain a professional and welcoming reception area
- Assist with scheduling, shift changes, and communicate schedule updates to staff
- Coordinate room bookings and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and shared with appropriate departments
- Perform clerical tasks, maintain accurate records, and assist with new hire paperwork and student placement logistics
- Handle cashier duties including processing deposits, disbursing resident trust funds, receiving maintenance payments and donations and selling meal tickets
- Prepare onboarding materials, track student progress, and liaise between staff, students, and supervisors
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for helping people live their best lives and brings:
- Post‑secondary education in business/office administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or clerical role
- Strong communication, organization, multi‑tasking, and computer skills
- Empathy and sincere commitment to the well‑being of all individuals in long‑term care, regardless of age
- Strong team player, supporting colleagues and fostering a collaborative environment, while also able to work independently when needed
- Proven ability to attend work regularly and punctually
- Able to meet the physical and cognitive demands of the position
