Financial Reporting Specialist

Position: St. Lawrence College Financial Reporting Specialist
Join St. Lawrence College as a Financial Reporting Specialist, where your role highlights grant financial documentation and auditing in a hybrid work environment.

You'll be integral to coordinating all financial reports needed by grant providers, guiding departmental staff on grant documentation requirements and conducting special audits. You will also assess audit risks and prepare working papers while liaising with external auditors to ensure compliance. Additionally, you'll prepare important reports to the Province and handle various Statistics Canada requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate monthly and quarterly financial reports

• Provide training on grant documentation to staff

• Conduct audits and manage audit communications

• Prepare financial documents for government reporting

• Analyze grant payables and receivables monthly

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA designation

• 5 years of progressive accounting experience

• Experience in not-for-profit accounting sectors

• Proficient in financial information systems

• Excellent ability to explain concepts to non-finance staff
