Division Manager

Emcon Services Inc. is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial road and bridge maintenance contractor. We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Division Manager, supporting our Kingston, Ontario division.

Reporting to the District Manager, this role is responsible for:

• Overseeing the Kingston, Ontario contract areas with the Ministry of Transportation Ontario;
• Leading the management team in planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the road and bridge maintenance program within the designated contract areas;
• Meeting or exceeding our contractual obligations to the MTO and other regulatory agencies;
• Maintaining a productive and safety conscious workforce;
• Creating and Monitoring area budgets;
• Evaluating and developing revenue opportunities;
• Developing staffing and succession plans;
• Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate must have:

• A thorough understanding of MTO specifications and quality assurance program;
• Proven interpersonal and leadership skills;
• Understanding labour agreements, employment and Health and Safety legislation;
• Excellent communication, organizational and decision-making skills;
• Proficient computer knowledge and ability to navigate industry programs;
• Prior experience working within a union environment is an asset.

This is a non-union, salaried, management position. Compensation and benefits will be based on the experience of the successful candidate.
