310T Mechanic (Kingston)

We are looking for a 310T Mechanic or Apprentice to inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of vehicles. This position would be at our Tomlinson Environmental Facility on 633 Fortune Crescent, Kingston, ON.

• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
• Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools
• Test and adjust units to specifications for proper performance
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
• Some field work is required

• Completion of secondary school is required
• Hold a 310T Heavy Truck/Coach License or advanced level apprenticeship toward 310T
• Proven mechanical abilities in gas and diesel diagnosis and repair
• Experience with routine/preventative maintenance operations
• Must have valid G license

The expected salary range for this position is $41 - $43 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
