The Bartender is responsible to maintain the highest standards possible for theatre patrons by ensuring quick, efficient, and professional bar service

• Perform bartending duties, including observing and adhering to all liquor liability laws
• Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers and wines
• Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers
• Monitor the intake of alcohol of patrons, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated
• Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is being served only to those patrons of legal drinking age
• Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues
• Responsible for daily bar set-up, ordering supplies, inventory control and restocking the bar
• Oversee and schedule bartending staff
• Check opening floats
• Responsible for completing cash-out and reconciliation procedures
• Prepare bank deposits
• Required to open, close and secure the building
• Assist with the set-up of special events
• Responsible for the general cleaning and maintenance of the bar area
• Other duties as assigned

• High School (Grade 12) diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) months experience in bar service
• Smart Serve Certification
• Must demonstrate corporate competencies of Customer Focus, Results Orientation, Integrity and Teamwork.
