What You'll Do...- Perform bartending duties, including observing and adhering to all liquor liability laws
- Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers and wines
- Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers
- Monitor the intake of alcohol of patrons, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated
- Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is being served only to those patrons of legal drinking age
- Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues
- Responsible for daily bar set-up, ordering supplies, inventory control and restocking the bar
- Oversee and schedule bartending staff
- Check opening floats
- Responsible for completing cash-out and reconciliation procedures
- Prepare bank deposits
- Required to open, close and secure the building
- Assist with the set-up of special events
- Responsible for the general cleaning and maintenance of the bar area
- Other duties as assigned
- High School (Grade 12) diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months experience in bar service
- Smart Serve Certification
- Must demonstrate corporate competencies of Customer Focus, Results Orientation, Integrity and Teamwork.
