Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Selection of Skilled Trades Identify, recruit, and select qualified tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) based on project needs and timelines.
Develop and maintain a strong network of skilled trades for immediate and future projects.
Source candidates through job boards, referrals, trade associations, industry events, and social media/networking platforms.
Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial phone/video interviews, and evaluate candidates against role and project requirements.
Maintain an active pipeline of pre-vetted trades to reduce time-to-fill for urgent project needs.
Trade Relationship and Performance Management Monitor the early performance of newly placed trades and gather feedback from site/project management to confirm fit and quality of work.
Support ongoing performance management processes for trades in coordination with the Trade Services Manager, including addressing performance concerns.
Track performance outcomes to continuously refine sourcing and selection criteria for future recruitment.
Act as a point of contact for trades on performance-related matters, trade engagement issues, addressing questions and resolving issues as they arise.
Provide regular updates to the Trade Services Manager on trade performance, retention, and recruitment pipeline status.
Liaise regularly with local and regional management teams to align on project needs, resource allocation, and client expectations.
Partner with the Trade Services Manager to forecast upcoming labour needs based on project pipeline.
Provide regular updates and reporting on recruitment pipeline status, time-to-fill, and trade availability.
Qualifications & Skills Three to five years of experience in recruitment, staffing, or trade coordination, ideally within construction, renovation, or a related trades environment.
Strong knowledge of skilled trades roles, requirements, and certifications in multi-family residential (an asset).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with trades, site teams, and management.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple recruitment needs and priorities fortable working both independently and collaboratively across local and regional teams.
Proficiency with recruitment/ATS tools and general office software.
Location:
Kingston with regular travel to Belleville and Ottawa
