Position: Middle School Science Teacher: SY26-27
Silver Lake Regional Middle School is seeking a 7th or 8th-grade Science Teacher to join a collaborative team focused on curriculum development, instructional improvement, and student achievement. This role emphasizes a strong team-based approach within a middle school program grounded in the Open Sci Ed  curriculum, engaging students in meaningful, real-world scientific questions and practices to deepen understanding across life, physical, and earth science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use assessment data to inform instruction and support diverse learners
• Set clear expectations and communicate learning goals effectively
• Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to strengthen teaching and learning
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with families

Requirements:

• Massachusetts DESE licensure in General Science (5-8)
• Familiarity with the 2016 Massachusetts Science Framework

Salary is commensurate with education and experience as defined by the SLEA CBA.
