Experienced Irrigation Technician

Position Overview

Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of both commercial and residential irrigation systems to ensure each system is properly maintained and operating at peak efficiency.

• Install irrigation timers, smart controllers.
• Install and repair irrigation pipe, fittings, sprinkler heads, and electrical components of central irrigation controllers.
• Perform standard and seasonal system maintenance, including start‑ups, evaluations and winterization.
• Repair backflow valves and test irrigation systems for proper function of valves, heads, and timers.
• Complete daily job notes and maintain accurate records in the Jobber app.
• Locate, excavate, repair or replace damaged equipment and maintain accurate inventory.
• Keep work vehicles and equipment clean and organized.
• Use critical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Assess water efficiency and adjust to correct over‑ or under‑watering.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
• Maintain a positive work attitude and provide excellent customer service.

• At least 1 year of professional experience installing, maintaining or repairing irrigation systems (willing to train qualified candidates).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to one of the company’s starting locations (Hingham/Cohasset or Kingston).
• Strong knowledge of irrigation installation and repairs.
• Ability to lift heavy loads, excavate and backfill safely.
• Professional communication skills with customers, employees and external partners.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.

This full‑time position requires manual labor, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working in outdoor conditions such as hot or cold weather.
