Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Position Overview:

The Floater will provide essential support across three YWCA Ulster County locations, offering coverage in various roles as needed. This position requires flexibility, a passion for working with young children, and the ability to adapt to different tasks throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Support: Fill in as needed in classrooms for children aged 0-5 years, providing breaks for classroom teachers and maintaining a nurturing, educational environment.
• Facility Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing tasks to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff.
• Meal Preparation Assistance: Fill in for the cook when necessary, assisting with meal preparation and ensuring that nutritional guidelines are met.
• Flexible Coverage: Adapt to different locations and tasks as required, including stepping into various roles to meet the immediate needs of the centers.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility: Ability to adjust to varying schedules and tasks, with a willingness to travel between different YWCA locations.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks requiring physical activity, such as cleaning and meal preparation.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
