Manufacturing Engineer Kingston, NY area The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing new manufacturing processes and capabilities, both internally and through external partners, to improve efficiency, reduce product costs, and support assembly operations. This role works closely with operations, engineering, customers, and suppliers to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities Provide manufacturing engineering support to production and operations teams. Maintain data integrity within ERP and manufacturing systems, including change orders, routings, and nonconformance tracking. Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 6S methodologies. Conduct time studies and analyze assembly processes to optimize workflow, labor utilization, and production balancing. Define, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, job orders, and work instructions.

Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Develop and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials. Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross functional teams to evaluate product requirements, assess manufacturability, and improve production methods. Provide technical support to customers as required. Train manufacturing personnel on processes, procedures, documentation, and traceability requirements to ensure workforce competency.

Support a collaborative, team oriented work environment and maintain reliable attendance. Qualifications & Education Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or operations environment. Experience leading process improvement or manufacturing optimization projects preferred. Skills & Knowledge Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 6S methodologies.

Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Solid Works.

Experience with ERP systems;
Encompix experience is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated success implementing Lean initiatives and driving operational improvements. Drug Test and Background check is required.
