Requirements Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Active, unrestricted state license Current DEA registration Minimum 2+ years of experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations Advanced knowledge of dementia-related behavioral management Confidence managing medically complex, polypharmacy-heavy patients Ability to function independently while contributing to a collaborative care model

In this role, you will:
Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and longitudinal follow-up care Treat mood disorders, psychosis, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and neurocognitive decline Manage Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) using evidence-based interventions Optimize medication regimens while minimizing polypharmacy and adverse effects Conduct capacity assessments and behavioral risk evaluations Collaborate closely with nursing leadership, medical teams, and social services Provide staff education and guidance to strengthen behavioral health practices within facilities
