We're looking for skilled Heavy-Duty Mechanics to join a leading equipment services company in Jamaica. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of commercial trucks, vans, and heavy-duty equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on trucks and heavy equipment Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance Troubleshoot diesel and gasoline engine systems Maintain accurate service records and work orders Respond to field breakdowns when required Follow safety and environmental guidelines at all times Requirements NVQ-J Level 2 or 3 in Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or related field Minimum 3 years of experience with commercial vehicles or construction equipment Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Ability to read service manuals and use diagnostic tools Valid driver's license (General or Commercial preferred) Physically fit and comfortable working in workshop and outdoor environments Desirable
Skills:
OEM or dealer training/certifications Fleet service experience Welding and fabrication knowledge Familiarity with diagnostic software and telematics tools
