We are seeking an Electrical Engineer Project Manager to lead the design and management of building electrical systems across diverse sectors, including healthcare, municipal/public safety, institutional, residential, and retail/automotive projects. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, client relationship management, and team leadership. Candidates should have a strong background in building systems design, project management, and code compliance.
What You'll Do- Lead electrical design for building power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and specialty systems
- Serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Oversee project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time, quality delivery
- Prepare and review electrical construction documents (one-line diagrams, load calculations, lighting layouts, specifications)
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection engineers, architects, and consultants
- Conduct site visits for field verification, construction administration, and punch lists
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, and local building codes
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and oversight
- Assist with proposals, RFP responses, and business development initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred, or ability to obtain within 12 months
- 6–15 years of electrical engineering experience in building systems design
- Proven project management experience on multi-discipline projects
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and building codes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with lighting calculation software preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
