Position OverviewThe Academic Technology Operations Coordinator, under direction, routinely manages large, complex academic technology projects and operations that support the University’s academic mission, teaching, learning, and innovative technology environments. The position coordinates academic technology operations across classrooms, conference spaces, digital learning environments, and other institutional facilities. Collaborates with academic leadership, the Institutional Facilities Project Manager, Campus Operations, ITS, campus stakeholders, and external partners to plan and implement innovative, accessible, and technology-enabled learning environments.
Performs limited specialized technical duties while advancing operational excellence, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement in support of the University’s academic community within the Division of Academic Affairs.
Collaborates with the Center for Academic Technology team to promote innovative approaches and support high-quality service delivery across instructional technology, academic classrooms, audio-visual systems, digital learning spaces, and institutional workforce innovation environments. Directs day-to-day operations of academic technology services across classrooms, conference spaces, digital signage, satellite locations, and workforce innovation environments. Oversees operational processes and service delivery models, including preventative maintenance, incident response, and technology lifecycle management.
Serves as the primary point of contact for academic technology operations, providing consultation, issue resolution, and support for faculty, staff, and campus partners. Develops, implements, and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness. Cultivates collaborative partnerships with campus leadership, Campus Operations, ITS, Event Planning, Facilities, and external vendors to support integrated technology solutions.
