Job Title: Buyer

Location Type: Onsite, Kingsville

Payrate: $20 - $22 hourly

Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Placement

This position supports sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain operations for a fast-paced produce packaging company. The role works closely with suppliers, logistics, and internal departments to ensure timely procurement of materials, accurate pricing, and efficient operational processes while maintaining high standards of service and cost control.

• Serve as a liaison with suppliers and obtain price quotes for required materials and services.
• Organize, update, and maintain product information files and related backup documentation.
• Review orders to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance service delivery.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within procurement and supply chain activities.
• Support operational transition activities related to new business acquisitions or integrations.
• Apply strategic marketing and international business knowledge to identify and pursue potential business opportunities.
• Provide regular status updates and reports to the Warehouse and Logistics team to ensure timely completion of activities.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Office administration or related administrative experience required.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience working with vendors or suppliers preferred.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing/food production environments is an asset.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general data processing.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal teams.
