Day/Night rotation (7:00 am‑7:30 pm / 7:00 pm‑7:30 am, rotating)
Sign‑On Bonus Potential: $10,000
Pay Range: $37.15‑$57.58 (experience based)
The Float Pool is a supplemental staffing pool that supports units when staffing is insufficient. The pool includes both full‑time and part‑time staff who participate in the clinical ladder and hospital committees. As a member of the patient care team, you will provide safe, age‑appropriate care and serve as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in pediatric, PICU, or NICU units.
- Support telemetry units as required.
- Follow a 6‑week rotation schedule with a weekend obligation of four shifts, plus three major holidays and two difficult‑to‑staff days.
- Meet shift incentives after fulfilling flex obligations.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Pediatrics/PICU/NICU experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Stable within 6 months of hire.
- Chemo/biotherapy provider course within 6 months of hire.
- Preferred:
Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – Pediatric or Neonatal.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Trauma Certification within 6 months of hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of hire.
