Position:
Postdoctoral Research Associate with a focus on developing behavioral strategies for key epilepsy mutations in the category of Developmental Epilepsy and Encephalopathy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in laboratory experiments to evaluate behavioral consequences of epileptic mutations in humans transferred into flies.
  • Collect and analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods.
  • Utilize molecular techniques for gene expression analysis.
  • Prepare research findings for publication in peer‑reviewed scientific journals and present results at professional conferences.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate students involved in the project.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders to facilitate the dissemination and adoption of research outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Contribute to grant proposals and extension/outreach activities.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working with Drosophila or other invertebrate systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with advanced molecular biology.
  • Experience mentoring students or technicians.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education:

    Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Experience:

    Two years of related professional experience inside or outside academia.
  • Skills in designing and conducting behavioral research.
  • Skills in statistical analysis and data management.
  • Knowledge of excellent scientific writing and verbal communication skills, evidenced by a strong publication record or presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
