Position:
Postdoctoral Research Associate with a focus on developing behavioral strategies for key epilepsy mutations in the category of Developmental Epilepsy and Encephalopathy.
- Participate in laboratory experiments to evaluate behavioral consequences of epileptic mutations in humans transferred into flies.
- Collect and analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods.
- Utilize molecular techniques for gene expression analysis.
- Prepare research findings for publication in peer‑reviewed scientific journals and present results at professional conferences.
- Mentor and provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate students involved in the project.
- Collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders to facilitate the dissemination and adoption of research outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Contribute to grant proposals and extension/outreach activities.
- Proven experience working with Drosophila or other invertebrate systems.
- Hands‑on experience with advanced molecular biology.
- Experience mentoring students or technicians.
- Education:
Ph.D. in a relevant field. - Experience:
Two years of related professional experience inside or outside academia. - Skills in designing and conducting behavioral research.
- Skills in statistical analysis and data management.
- Knowledge of excellent scientific writing and verbal communication skills, evidenced by a strong publication record or presentations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
