Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Kinston, North Carolina. This is a Contract to permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Oversee accounts receivable tasks, including billing and collection activities.

- Perform detailed bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain up-to-date accounting records.

- Generate financial reports and assist with analysis as needed.

- Collaborate with payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payments.

- Utilize accounting software systems effectively to streamline tasks and maintain data integrity.

- Support the Finance Director with various accounting functions and projects.

- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

- Provide insights and recommendations for improving accounting procedures. Requirements - Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting or related roles.

- Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.

- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and journal entries.

- Familiarity with accounting software systems; experience with HAB systems is a plus.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data and produce reports.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
