Airbus is looking for a Summer Intern - Supply Chain Planning to join our team based in Kinston, NC. This intern role won't just file paperwork; you will be responsible for high-impact projects to modernize our strategic planning, validate critical data, and implement new digital tools that support the future of aerospace aftermarket.

Your Working EnvironmentThe Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.
Your Challenges- Process Documentation and Update:
Lead the review and comprehensive update of team operational documents, specifically the 'Business Case Closure' and 'Business Case Preliminary Analysis' work instructions, to ensure accuracy and alignment with current best practices. - Strategic Initiative Support:
Assist in advancing incomplete strategic projects for the team, including the development and improvement of the team's overarching process calendar and communication tools. - Data Validation and Quality Control:
Contribute to tasks focused on data validation to ensure the integrity and reliability of operational metrics and reporting. - New Tool Resource Development:
Collaborate on creating user resources and documentation for the 'eRSP SeRA' tool, which serves as the new platform for replacing legacy Google Sheets-based documents. - Operational Project Management:
Drive the assigned operational project from planning through completion, coordinating with various team members to gather inputs and finalize deliverables.
- Required:
Ability to work in Kinston, NC for the duration of the summer internship - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at an accredited college or university.
- Ability to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship/work authorization is required for this role.
- Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both independently and collectively.
- Dependable, self-motivated and accessible.
- Able to prioritize concurrent assignments with guidance.
- Capable of creating and delivering technical documents and presentations with guidance.
- Strong computer background, including MS Excel and Google Suite application experience (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and disciplines.
- Effectively communicate issues, solutions, ideas, and status of current work to the Lead.
- Advanced Microsoft Office / Google Workspace Skills.
- Degree in Business Administration ,Operations Management, Industrial Engineering.
- Experience in Process Documentation or Mapping:
Prior involvement in a project (academic or extracurricular). - Demonstrated Data Handling and Analysis
