Classroom Teacher – Music at Rochelle Middle School, Lenoir County Public Schools, Kinston, North Carolina.

The incumbent must hold a current North Carolina Professional Educators license in Music Education (K-12) with a concentration in Band/Choral Music, or be eligible to obtain it.

• Plan, organize, and deliver instruction that promotes students’ cognitive, physical, and social/emotional development.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Use a variety of technology and classroom tools to enhance learning.
• Manage instructional time and student behavior effectively.
• Motivate students and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and community members to support students’ learning.
• Monitor student performance and use data to inform instruction.
• Collaborate with school personnel to create a professional learning community.

• Coordinate and direct the activities of the Teacher Assistant, if applicable.
• Perform related work as required by the school or district.

• Minimum bachelor's degree from an approved education program in a relevant subject area.
• Valid North Carolina Teaching License, or qualification to obtain one.
• Strong background in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, Common Core, and Essential Standards.

• Demonstrates leadership within the classroom and school.
• Establishes a respectful and inclusive environment for a diverse student population.
• Possesses deep content knowledge and aligns instruction with state standards.
• Implements effective instructional strategies and integrates technology.
• Encourages students to develop critical thinking, problem‑solving, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Reflects on practice and pursues professional growth.
