Overview
Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for an Industrial Systems Design Engineer to join our Engineering department based in Kinston, NC.
Team and EnvironmentOur team at Airbus Aerosystems Kinston manufactures crucial aircraft components. On the shop floor you’ll be surrounded by individuals who are passionate about aviation and skilled in areas like electrical, structure and quality.
Working EnvironmentThe Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

- Experienced 10 years
- Lean Line Design Process
- Value Stream analysis
- Evaluate critical path and capacity

- Adapt communication skills
- Google Workspace experience

Authorized to work in the US
Physical Requirements- Onsite or remote: 100% onsite
- Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings
- Hearing: able to hear conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings
- Equipment Operation: able to operate office and personal equipment and some tools including production tools
- Carrying/Lifting: able to carry/lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
- Pushing/Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment
- Sitting/Standing: able to sit for long periods and stand for discussions on floor
- Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice (5%)
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces
- PPE: required PPE includes safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves as required by site
