Job Description:

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a CapEX Acquisition Lead and Contracts Mgr. to join our our team based in Kinston, NC.

The Industrial Maintenance organization provides corrective and preventative maintenance across a broad range of installed assets and hand tools within the Kinston Plant. The assets include mechanical and electrical CNC machinery, conventional production machinery, Jigs and Tools, industrial autoclaves and automated guided vehicles . Asset age ranges from new equipment, up to 15

years old. The Industrial Maintenance strategy requires enhanced technical support to develop the internal competence to deliver comprehensive asset care.

Reporting to the Ho J&T, Robotics, Des, Acq & Maint, the Cap Ex Acquisition Lead and Contracts Manager will be responsible for ensuring service levels and value for money are realized for the capital investment, contracted Maintenance Service Providers.

Your Challenges:

● Project manage Cap Ex business cases End to End. (~ $200M over a two year period)

● Ensure contractor performance to deliver cost effective asset safety and reliability.

● Manage the development and delivery of the contracting strategy, ensuring all key stakeholders are fully engaged in the process

● Ensure effective governance including preparation and delivery of commercial summaries for submission to management (reports, scorecards, etc.)

● Maintain a 'safety first' culture in the maintenance team and be a 'champion for safety'.

● Manage the preparation and delivery of the business annual budgeting.

● Delegated authority and responsible for a Non Payroll Budget of $xxm (typical).

● Create/support a spare parts strategy for our most critical assets within the Airbus Aerostructures in the Kinston Plant

● Maintain budget adherence by controlling spend and effectively managing financial risk and opportunity. Anticipate planned spend and mitigate deviations from budget.

● Ensure that service provider(s) costs remain below budget. Track cost performance, commit on Year to End cost forecast each month.

● Drive cost savings in contracted services via efficient use of resources challenging custom and practice.
