Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Engineering Department based in Kinston, NC.

Your Working Environment:

The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

To implement and maintain the Company Quality System and to ensure product and process quality/integrity meets appropriate regulatory/customer requirements. The employee will support the production activities related to the section 15 of A350 composite Assembly Line. As part of the Aviation Safety and Quality organization, the employee will be responsible for activity related to the expertise on product process and failure analysis with operational process surveillance.

Your Challenges:

* Develops processes, systems, and equipment to uphold quality, reliability, and system safety standards for company or procured products and services

* Performing Problem-Solving (PPS):

* Perform root cause analyses. Recommends and supports the implementation of corrective actions that are necessary to reduce or eliminate nonconformance to design specifications.

* Has the capability to work with the team and develop Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and control Plan.

* Provides review and analysis of quality system design to ensure the integrity of decisions impacting products and services

* Analyzes contractual, product definition, and specification requirements to develop or modify methods, procedures, and metrics for achieving quality standards

* Evaluates and provides dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts, and equipment

* Conducts scientific evaluations, audits, and analyses

* Tests and approves products, processes, equipment, and measurement systems

* Ensures processes incorporate configuration management and participates in design and product reviews to meet quality, reliability, safety, and business objectives

* Conducts research, benchmarking, and analysis to improve process capability and product quality

* Performs root cause analyses and supports corrective action implementation to address nonconformance issues

* Interfaces with employees, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with requirements

* Utilizes statistical methodologies to maintain or enhance safety, reliability, and process capability levels

Additional Responsibilities:

* Other duties as assigned.

Your Boarding Pass:

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited Engineering program

* 3-5 years of experience in aerospace, quality, engineering or related role

* Proficiency in technical writing

* Proficient in root cause corrective action (RCCA)

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

* Ability to articulate complex issues to others.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters is essential.
