All about the role
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and cost across manufacturing operations. This role minimizes system failures across hardware, software, human, and process domains while supporting industrialization of new products and processes. The engineer leads equipment procurement, reliability/maintenance initiatives, and champions continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

What you’ll do- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes.
- Develop technical specifications for equipment in alignment with global standards and guidelines.
- Lead capital expenditure (Cap Ex) projects and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Oversee equipment installation while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct manufacturability analyses to support new product development projects.
- Support digital manufacturing initiatives, including virtual feasibility assessments.
- Design and execute factory layout projects utilizing Lean manufacturing principles.
- Perform time studies, line balancing, and develop standardized work documentation.
- Contribute to PFMEA, Design for Automation (DFA), and Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities.
- Manage project timelines and budgets for new product introductions and process improvements.
- Prepare capital investment proposals and monitor project expenditures.
- Lead supplier sourcing efforts and conduct equipment evaluations.
- Develop and implement reliability strategies, plans, and procedures.
- Coordinate inventory management and oversee routine procurement of parts and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders and maintenance activities using CMMS.
- Support emergency response efforts and contribute to corrective action planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, maintenance, or similar technical role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, OEE, and MTM; familiarity with maintenance/reliability tools and digital manufacturing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong data analysis, reporting, and technical documentation skills.
- Effective communicator and team collaborator; able to train/mentor others and work flexible shifts (including weekends).
