Your Working EnvironmentThe Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state‑of‑the‑art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

- Analyze and design sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel and optimization of product flow.
- Establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
- Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems; develop and implement optimized product flow based on these studies.
- Assist facilities engineers in planning and designing facilities.
- Develop and provide time standards to the shop floor as well as standard work for operations and processes.
- Utilize analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization as well as line balancing.
- Perform trend analysis of shop performance measures to identify opportunities for improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Minimum of 2–4 years related experience in an engineering role.
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering tools used in production such as capacity analysis, facility layout and production improvements.
- Experience in an aircraft or aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Finance experience.

Able to see and read computer screens, documents, reports and engineering drawings. - Hearing:
Able to hear conversations in person, teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. - Speaking:
Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. - Equipment Operation:
Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some production tools including hydraulic lifts. - Carrying:
Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30 lbs. - Lifting:
Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30 lbs. - Pushing / Pulling:
Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. - Sitting:
Able to sit for long periods in meetings or working on a computer. - Squatting / Kneeling:
Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. - Standing:
Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. - Walking:
