Job Description:
Job Summary:
Entry level role to learn the following Level 3 certified tasks:
Responsible for using analysis techniques to evaluate the properties of a materials, components or systems without causing damage. Utilize Non-Destructive inspection methods (ultrasonic) to verify parts and processes are in compliance with customer engineering requirements. Establish techniques from approved general procedure or work instructions for final approval. Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standards. Provide necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees.
Perform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDT method(s).
- Be capable of assuming technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff.
- Be capable of selecting the method and technique for a specific test.
- Be capable of preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions.
- Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy.
- Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing and their related sequencing, and test technologies used by Airbus Kinston. Be capable of providing or directing training, examination, and certification of personnel.
- Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination.
- Be capable of auditing outside agencies to ensure the requirements of the written practice are met.

Qualified Experience and Training :
Education:
Required 1 of 3
No education requires 4 yrs Level 2 certified experience.
Successful Completion of two years of engineering or physical science study program at a technical school, college or university requires 2 yrs Level 2 certified experience.
Four - year physical science or engineering undergraduate degree. Requires 1 yr Level 2 certified experience.
ASNT Ultrasonic Level 3 Certification

Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors):
Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Carrying:
