Job Description
We are seeking a Senior SAP Functional Expert – Finance & Controlling (FICO) with deep expertise in SAP S/4
HANA Finance to lead and support key financial transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong functional knowledge of finance and controlling processes with hands‑on experience in S/4
HANA innovations, enabling real‑time insights, streamlined operations, and scalable financial solutions.
- Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP S/4
HANA Finance (FI/CO) solutions across global entities - Partner with finance stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable, best‑practice S/4
HANA solutions - Drive the implementation of key S/4
HANA capabilities, including:- Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
- New Asset Accounting
- Margin Analysis (CO‑PA)
- Advanced Financial Closing
- Group Reporting / Consolidation
- Central Finance (as applicable)
- Define and deliver functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces (APIs/BAPIs), and Fiori applications
- Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, PS)
- Support finance transformation initiatives such as shared services, IFRS compliance, entity harmonization, accelerated close cycles, and real‑time reporting
- Lead key project phases, including design, configuration, testing, data migration, cutover, and hypercare
- Collaborate with finance leadership, auditors, and IT teams to ensure system compliance, performance, and scalability
- Provide mentorship and functional guidance to junior consultants and business users
- Contribute to pre‑sales activities and support business development efforts
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of SAP FICO experience, including at least 3+ years on SAP S/4
HANA Finance - Proven experience delivering S/4
HANA Finance implementations (greenfield, brownfield, or system conversions) - Strong functional expertise across SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking) and CO (Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis)
- Solid understanding of financial processes, including closing, reporting, and compliance (IFRS/GAAP, tax regulations)
- Experience designing and validating functional specifications, configurations, and test scenarios
- Strong integration knowledge with logistics, manufacturing, and project systems modules
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to work in cross‑functional and international environments
- SAP S/4
HANA certification is an asset
