Job Description
Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team based in Kinston, NC.
Performs financial analysis of various administration projects and business performance. Plans and supports financial analysis assignments, recommends and implements changes in analysis and budgetary methods and procedures. Analyzes and interprets financial data. Prepares financial reports. Provides senior management with information on all areas of revenue and cost variances. Participates in special projects, preparing financial data as necessary.

Your Working EnvironmentThe Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state‑of‑the‑art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

- Business partner to functional leaders within the Kinston site, providing guidance through data analysis of actual spend and forecasted spend.
- Reviews expenses and prepares cost reports. Analyzes cost variances that exceed budget. Questions expense variances and alerts the controllers when costs exceed budget.
- Develops, implements, and updates financial reporting to meet current business needs and to provide the business with timely, accurate and meaningful information. Implements continuous improvement of financial reporting and data.
- Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, annual reports and ensures information is accurate. Performs financial forecasting and modeling. Identifies relevant concerns, factors and patterns to formulate logical and objective conclusions.
- Responsible for adherence to Capex financial process and procedure implementation; creates and monitors finance KPI for expenses.
- Extracts general ledger and balance sheet information; compiles asset reports. Maintains and reconciles financial data for all metrics reports and understands calculations and relationships to financial data.
- Responsible for forecasting of functional operational expense, unit cost, balance sheet accounts, cash flow of specific work packages.
- Supports accounting at each month‑end close process.
- Reconciles actuals to ensure accuracy at close.
- Responsible for adherence to financial processes and procedures.
- Assists accounting and controlling in on‑site audits.
- Validates purchase orders when in line with approved budgets.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Your Boarding Pass- Bachelor degree in Account, Finance, Economics, or any relevant degree.
- 2–5 years of finance and/or accounting experience.
- Ability to independently develop, communicate and make recommendations to business partners.
- Ability to ascertain and explain variances for a variety of KPIs.
- Strong understanding of income statement and balance sheet, preferred in a manufacturing industry.
